5 Leamington Spa Musts This Winter

1. Charity Shop Crawl

What better time is there than the cold winter, to give to those in need and revamp your own closet while you’re at it; a win-win! Leamington has quite a handful of charity shops scattered around town like little gems hidden in the form of clothes shops. Why not make a day-trip challenge out of it and gather your friends on a charity shop crawl around Leam. Winner gets best outfit bragging right for the rest of term!

2. The Sunday Markets

Nothing shoots more serotonin in my system than seeing those road signs blocking the road on Saturday nights, a hint of what the parade is about to be transformed in the day after. The vast selection of goods at the Sunday Market will have you counting down the hours till the next one from as early as Sunday evening! From plant pots to a variety of cuisines, to candles, to crystals, to Christmas and home ornaments, you will not be disappointed at your finds. They even sell freshly made sourdough bread!! I mean how does one pass up on that? A picturesque way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon and charge up for your following week.

3. A Cenu Cacao Hot Chocolate

Need I say more? Just take my word for it and try it.

4. The Dice Box

If board games on a rainy day doesn’t absolutely scream comfort to you then I truly don’t know what will. The selection is never-ending and so is the potential for fun! Gather your friends and run to ‘The Dice Box’. There is such a lovely and welcoming vibe in there and perhaps you being surrounded by other people will make a game of monopoly more civil than it would’ve ever been at home…

P.s. Oh and if you’re looking for a life-sized board game, why not try an escape room? For such a small place, Leamington has got 3 different escape experiences for you to visit, with three or more rooms each. Can you escape?

5. Free Lantern Workshops + Christmas Wreath Workshop

Leam is SO friendly and welcoming when it comes to students and makes sure to keep us interested and busy, even on a budget. This winter, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get creative making lanterns and Christmas wreaths. FOR FREE!!! You can visit upcoming events Leamington at https://royal-leamington-spa.co.uk/whats-on/ to find out more information on the workshops. Go and make the prettiest lantern; Rapunzel will be proud.

6. Honourable mention: Art in every corner of Leam

Visit our article on the galleries of Leamington Spa . I think you’ll be surprised to find out how much more there is to Leam than cute restaurants and pretty gardens!
